The aim of the "OeBiX Follow-Up Studies" project is to expand the OeBiX study published in spring 2021. For the first time, a data set was presented in which the available quantifiable information on economic education in Germany was collected, systematised and condensed into an index value. Specifically, data was collected and analysed on the institutional anchoring of economic education in secondary general schools and in university economics teacher training.

The aim of the follow-up project is to expand the database of the OeBiX study to include further indicators relating to the institutional anchoring of economic education in general education schools and the initial and further training of economics teachers. To this end, three sub-studies will be conducted in which various school frameworks and documents from the area of teacher training will be analysed. This data will subsequently be quantified and integrated into the OeBiX index as far as possible.

The results of the studies and the expanded and updated OeBiX are published on the OeBiX portal (www.oebix.de).
