Beschreibung:

As part of the research project, training measures for teachers on the use of digital economic experiments in the classroom are being developed and trialled in several stages. The project is based on a design-based research approach and focuses on all phases of teacher training (training, preparatory service, further and continuing education). The economic experimental laboratory OX-Lab, which was established as part of the teacher training quality campaign in the OLE+ project, acts as a (digital) infrastructure and empirical access point.

The central questions of the research project include: What competences do teachers need to use digital economic experiments in the classroom? To what extent does participation in digital experiments as part of teacher training promote the development of these competences? Which types of digital experiments are particularly effective for learning in teacher training? Which measures prove to be effective for the qualification of teachers for the integration and development of digital economic experiments?

WiDiX is a sub-project of the nationwide joint project WÖRLD ("Wirtschaftspädagogik und Ökonomische Bildung - Lehrkräftebildung und Unterricht digital"), which includes 14 chairs from all over Germany. The central objective of the joint project is the evidence-based transfer of digital and hybrid learning environments and digitally supported teaching/learning processes in the domain of economics for the digitalisation-related skills development of teachers across all three phases of teacher training.

Results:

  • • Evidence-based, tried-and-tested best-practice formats for digitalisation-related teaching and related skills development for teachers (provision via open access and systematic integration into teacher training at IÖB and IfÖB)
  • • Presentation of results in the context of publications, lectures, conference papers, etc.
